Shell wants the Petrobras Nigerian branch

Oil company Shell and commodity traders Glencore and Vitol, through a consortium, bid for Nigerian assets from the Brazilian oil company Petrobras.

Reuters reports this on the basis of sources during the discussions. Vitol, based in Rotterdam, works together with Delonex, the upstream branch of Warburg Pincus, and Africa Oil.

Shell works together with Famfa Oil in the bidding battle. Petrobras would make a decision at the end of May, although that decision could be postponed.
