Separatist leader Catalonia gives it up

The Catalan ex-prime minister and foreman of separatists in the region, Carles Puigdemont, seems to be tired of his political role.

With Moncloa he means the central government, derived from the Palace of Moncloa, the official residence and the headquarters of the Spanish Prime Minister in Madrid.

It is unclear where Puigdemont would have sent this message. He has been in Belgium since the end of October. He was announced on Tuesday evening as a speaker at a meeting in Leuven, but Comín appeared in his place as a speaker. Comín is one of six deposed Catalan ministers who drove to Marseilles at the end of October and boarded a plane to Belgium.
