Senate Justice Committee supports Kavanaugh

According to the party lines, a majority of the Senate Commission for Justice voted for the candidacy of Brett Kavanaugh as a member of the American Supreme Court.

The eleven Republican committee members finally expressed their support on Friday. However, one of them, Jeff Flake, made the condition that the FBI be given the opportunity to investigate the allegations against Kavanaugh. The ten Democratic senators voted against the appointment.

Trump follows developments in the Senate with interest. He is open to postponing the vote on Kavanaugh if the Senate finds it necessary. Trump convincingly described the statements of alleged victim Christine Blasey Ford yesterday, but he also praised Kavanaugh's own performance.
