Secret cell detected in police station Manilla

A Human Rights Commission (CHR) found 11 people in a hidden cell at a Filipino police station on Thursday.

The committee had taken a polar high heels at the police station in Manila's capital. There, researchers discovered the tiny cell, which was hidden behind a bookcase. The prisoners said they were detained for a week in the darkened space of 1 by 3 meters. In the cell was no electricity and detainees had to need them in plastic bags.

The police chief denied all allegations against local media. He said the prisoners were arrested during a 'one-off' invasion and had to be registered. The CHR is skeptical about that explanation. 'No normal detention facility is hidden behind material like bookshelves,' said a spokeswoman.
