Second tunnel to toddler Yulen, family desperate

The rescue teams who have spent almost 48 hours searching for the toddler Yulen, in a pit in Totalán near Malaga, have started digging a second tunnel to save the child.

The work started Tuesday morning, after rescue teams have spent hours trying to suck the earth under which the two-year-old must be- possibly in a bubble. The machine eventually reached a compact mass that could not be removed. Gámez: 'The problem is that earth continues to fall, which is too compact and too humid', says María Gámez.
