Scottish surfer saved after 30 hours at sea

A 22-year-old man from Glasgow who was missing after surfing for the west coast of Scotland on Sunday morning, had saved the coastguard after thirty hours in the water.

A helicopter spotted Matthew Bryce over 20 miles from the coast. He was undercooled, but conscious. According to a spokeswoman for the Coast Guard, it was thanks to his good clothes that he could have sustained it for so long. He was taken to a hospital in the Northern Irish capital of Belfast by a helicopter.
