Russin suspected of espionage is not released

An American judge on Monday has requested the Russian Maria Boetina, who is suspected of espionage, to be released in anticipation of her trial.

Justice thinks that Boetina (29) worked as a secret agent for the Russian government. She would have infiltrated the gun lobby and possibly also the Republican party. She herself denies the accusations.

The PPS admitted Friday that the claim that the Russian, who studied in the US, offered her sexual services in exchange for a job with an interesting organization is not right. For judge Tanya Chutkan, that was no reason to change. She also prohibited the lawyer of Boetina from saying something about the case in the media.
