Rus will in 12 days around the world in hot air balloon
The 65-year old Russian adventurer Fedor Konyukhov wants another round in twelve days with a balloon to create the world.
If successful the Russian mission, he has to hold the world record for a non-stop solo balloon flight. The current record holder is the American Steve Fossett. Who was traveling in his hot air balloon in 2002 in 13 days around the world.
Konyukhov will sail with his balloon over New Zealand by Chile, Argentina and South Africa. After more than 30 000 kilometers he arrives again in Australia. Preparations for the trip lasted two years.
