Rough seas slows search for MH370

Rough seas and strong winds have the search for Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 in the Indian Ocean slowed considerably.

Flight MH370 disappeared in March 2014 with 239 passengers and crew on board shortly after taking off from Kuala Lumpur en route to Beijing. The researchers think that someone has deliberately disabled the aircraft's transponder before it thousands of miles off course also flew over the Indian Ocean. Therefore, the aircraft was no longer to follow the radar.

Australian officials leading the investigation, saying that more than 105 000 square kilometers has been searched in the 120 000-square-kilometer search area. But 18-meter-high waves and strong winds slow down the search significantly, says the Australian Transport Safety Bureau.
