Romania may not participate in Eurovision

Romania should not join the Eurovision Song Contest.

The broadcaster had until Wednesday to pay off the more than 14.5 million euros, but that did not work.

Singer Ovidiu Anton would represent Romania. He was placed in the second semifinal with the song Moment of Silence. Now he no longer can join that semifinal has eighteen members, just as much as the first semifinal. The order of the second semifinal will continue unchanged.

The Romanian broadcaster has lost the broadcasting rights to the festival. The song Anton remains still on the compilation with all Contest numbers alone that will be published soon.
