Riots Skopje after hacking scandal

Thousands of Macedonia «rs are Wednesday took to the streets of Skopje to protest a controversial decision by President Gjorge Ivanov.

The demonstrators were among other government buildings to which they pelted with stones and eggs. Many windows were broken.

The protests follow the decision of Ivanov to discontinue the criminal proceedings against all politicians suspected of involvement in an eavesdropping scandal.,, I have decided to put an end to this agony for Macedonia ', '' Ivanov said earlier told reporters. The decision encountering much resistance from the opposition. Macedonian opposition leader Zoran Zaev demanded Tuesday the resignation of Gjorge Ivanov.
