Riots in Athens anarchist neighborhood of Exarchia

Anarchists in the night from Saturday to Sunday wreaked havoc in the Exarchia district of the Greek capital Athens.

Exarchia is true for years as anarchist stronghold in Athens. In 2016, the Athens police closed the offices in this neighborhood. This year seems to aggravate the violence. Several times buses are forced to stop, after which the passengers had left the bus. Then the coach was fired.

Exarchia is located between two major universities. The opposition socialist party PASOK, extreme leftist groups and human rights organizations have their headquarters. The district also houses addicts.
