Residents Florida Keys may take damage

Residents of the Florida Keys may return to certain parts of the archipelago on Tuesday.

The islands are severely affected by Irma. Video shows show how houses have been broken apart. Also, amenities such as electricity, water and telecommunications were included. The navy sends two ships to the islands to distribute food and assist in the evacuation of people who were left behind.

The 'Keys', where about 80,000 people live, were largely evacuated before the storm. The police filed a checkpoint on Monday to prevent residents from returning early. The authorities are still working on restoring basic services.
