Remains of Salvador Dalí are excavated

In Figueres in northeastern Spain, Thursday evening preparations have been made to dig up the physical surplus of Salvador Dalí (1904-1989).

At the Theater-Museum Dalí in Figueres arrived at 20.00 hours workmen and technicians shortly before closing time. They must light the one and a half tons of heavy marble plate from the grave of Dalí. Also, the glass dome of the building, including the bald body in a crypt, is covered for curious cans.

Judicial doctors must take samples of the body sent for research to a laboratory in Madrid. The excavations are likely to last all night. The results of DNA research are known in about a month.
