Refugee electrocuted on roof train

French agents have found the partially burned body of a man on top of a train.

The remains were found in the French town of Menton; the first stop after the train departed from the Italian Ventimiglia. It is thought that the man has grabbed an electricity cable for fear of losing the train.

Passengers heard three loud bangs and saw flames, French media reports. It is the fifth time in a year that someone makes the crossing by lying on top of the train. In total, four people died, an immigrant could be saved.

Although the number of refugees arriving in Italy is declining, migrants who are already in Italy are increasingly trying to enter illegally other European countries.
