Rebels abandoned Syrian city of Homs

Rebels Saturday abandoned their last stronghold in the Syrian city of Homs.

The first buses with rebels and their families have left al-Waer. The governor of Homs, Talal Barazi, said Saturday four evacuated to five hundred fighters with relatives.

At the beginning of the civil war in 2011, Homs was a stronghold of rebels. After four years of siege and battle is the city much more. Homs has been declared by the rebels in 2015. However, they retained al-Waer, lying to the west of the city.
