CHICAGO

Chancelor Bennett, as the rapper called, was born in Chicago 23 years ago. His donation he pays for with the proceeds of the ticket sales for his performances. The schools in his hometown may use more than the money. The deficit of public education in the largest city in the state of Illinois is estimated at some 215 million dollars.

Bennett spoke last week with the governor of Illinois on the miserable condition of the education. Governor Rauner he could offer no solace. Then Chance the Rapper himself decided to make a donation. He could count at least on a tweet full of gratitude to the former First Lady Michelle Obama, also born in Chicago.
