Puigdemont does not exclude passage to Catalonia

The deposed Catalan leader Carles Puigdemont does not exclude the possibility that he will go to Catalonia next week to be sworn in as the leader of the Spanish region.

' Ideally I would be there personally. That is what we all want. We do not exclude anything '', says Puigdemont, who moved to Belgium in October because the Spanish justice wants to prosecute him for his attempts to separate Catalonia from Spain.

There is an arrest warrant in Spain against Puigdemont. Earlier it was suggested that he could also let himself per video connection. Last week, the Catalan separatist said that he could also lead the regional government from Brussels. Madrid has announced that it will continue to run the region when Puigdemont is re-elected Prime Minister.

Torrent and Puigdemont wanted to meet at the official representation of Catalonia in Brussels, but that stopped Spain. The consultation was moved to the office of the European Free Alliance.
