Prime Minister Italy visits Trump at the end of July

President Donald Trump receives the Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte in the White House on 30 July.

'The United States and Italy will strive for more intensive cooperation in tackling global conflicts and economic prosperity on both sides of the Atlantic', the statement says.

In June, the two met at the G7 summit in Canada. Trump wrote on Twitter afterwards that he wanted to invite Conte into the White House. He called the Italian Prime Minister a 'great guy' and said that Italian voters were right.
