Price fixing on school trips Auschwitz

The Israeli authorities have arrested nine executives of travel agencies because they may have made price agreements with each other about school trips to Auschwitz.

In Israel, the Ministry of Education arranges trips to the death camp in the Polish town of Auschwitz, for the students to teach something about the Second World War and Holocaust. Every year thousands of Israeli students sent to the historical site.
The police suspect six travel agencies its prices artificially kept high by making prior arrangements. The organizations are in this case guilty of unfair competition.
It can be for Israel as a big shock coming as it appears that illegal practices are associated with the historical tours.
