Prepared European sanctions against Iran

The United Kingdom, France and Germany have prepared new European sanctions against Iran.

With the new measures, the three European countries hope to meet the United States, so that the country abides by the international agreement on curbing Iran's nuclear program. On Monday, the European foreign ministers will meet on the new sanctions, which would be directed against specific Iranian persons and entities.

The Iran agreement, in which Tehran promises to phase out the nuclear program in exchange for the withdrawal of economic sanctions, was closed in 2015 after years of negotiations. US President Donald Trump wants the nuclear deal to be adjusted.
