Premier Iraq battle of Fallujah has begun

Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi has announced the launch of a military operation to recapture the city of Fallujah on terrorist group Islamic State.

According to Al-Jazeera reports come in of heavy artillery fire on the city, which was owned by IS 2014. The army would have alerted residents Sunday to leave the area. Families who could not leave, were suspended on the advice of white flags.
