Power problems through snow chaos Austria

The snow chaos in Austria has led to major problems with the power supply in many places.

In the Province of Tyrol alone 1,600 households were without electricity, and in Salzburg there were more than 1,200 households. There were 900 in Lower Austria as well and 600 in Upper Austria without electricity.

In Ennstal in Steiermark, a central high-voltage line has been destroyed by fallen trees, energy company Energie Steiermark reported. The residents of Ennstal could still receive power through an alternative connection.
