Porn and pause in the city of Colombia

The Colombian city of Cartagena is setting up for a porn conference in July and a pope visit in September.

Cartagena is expecting four hundred entrepreneurs from the porn industry at the Latin America Adult Business Expo from July 10th to July 12th. As the expo continues, models, filmmakers and actors will also come to the city, which according to the organization of the conference will certainly spend 900,000 euros. Richard Bedoya of the 'Adult Business Expo' points out that it is a business conference behind closed doors and so the city does not suffer.

Mayor Duque, however, has a powerful ally in the governor of Bolívar Province, Dumek Turbay. He complained that this congress raises sex tourism to the city and child abuse. According to Turbay, the Public Prosecutor's Office in Cartagena has warned that there is little legal opposition.

The city of about one million predominantly Roman Catholic residents expects Pope Francis on September 10th.
