Pope suggests use contraceptives

Pope Francis has suggested that women who use contraceptives are threatened by the zikavirus.

The pope replied to the question whether contraceptives are not 'the lesser evil' compared abortion. The killing of the unborn child, abortion is not an option in the Roman Catholic Church and the pope was therefore conditionally open to the use of contraceptives, according to El Universal.

The zikavirus currently abroad in Latin America and is to all appearances very damaging to the unborn baby's brains. It is currently used in many Latin American countries advised to avoid becoming pregnant. A large part of the population of Latin America is Roman Catholic.
