Pool contains 75 liters of urine

Anyone occasionally pulls a job, not only swimming through water, but also by liters urine.

One of the investigated pools containing 830 000 liters of water. That's about the contents of a 25-meter pool. In all that water was 75 liters of urine. A pool that was half the size, containing 30 liters of urine.

Urine itself is sterile and harmless. However, it may react with other substances in the water. Urine and chlorine can form, for example, chloroform together.

The study is in the scientific journal Environmental Science and Technology Letters. Researchers say nothing about the quality of the tested pools and how representative are the results. But they say that the numbers show that it is important to keep an eye on the water quality.
