Pompeo blames predecessors undermining policy

The American minister Michael Pompeo (Foreign Affairs) has been hard-pressed to John Kerry, the secretary of state under President Barack Obama.

Kerry played a key role in the realization of the nuclear deal with Iran in 2015. The current president, Donald Trump, has now thrown those agreements into the trash. Kerry has, according to American media, tried to save the deal. He said on the radio earlier since his departure as minister 'three or four times' to have met with the Iranian Foreign Minister.

Pompeo called the appearance of the Democrat Friday 'unheard of' and 'more than inappropriate. 'He complained that Kerry advises the Iranians to wait until the Trump government clears the field. 'That a former foreign minister actively undermines the US policy is literally without precedent,' said the minister.
