Polish OM not appeal on Polanski

The Public Prosecutor in Poland will not appeal against the decision of a Polish court not to extradite Roman Polanski to the United States.

Now there will be no appeal, it is up to the Polish Minister of Justice to make a final decision.

Polanski known in 1977 debt in the abuse case and received in return only 42 days imprisonment. A year later he fled the US for fear that he would be still a long prison sentence. Polanski has lived mostly in his native France and Poland, countries that have no extradition treaty with the US
