Police shoot dead girl, father prosecuted

A 57-year-old American is accused of murder because he caused the death of his twelve year old daughter.

The incident was on January 11 in the doorway of the house of Donald Meyer in Duncannon, a small town near Harrisburg in the state of Pennsylvania. The policeman came to the house to put Meyer from his house. They refused.

After some talking back and forth Meyer grabbed a gun and pointed it at the policeman. Who drew his gun and fired. He hit the man in the arm but the bullet went through it and then shot the girl who was standing behind her father. The bullet pierced her heart and lungs.

Meyer is among others accused of murder, terror and endangering a child. The policeman will not be prosecuted because he shot in self-defense, as certain justice earlier this week.
