Police clears chic beach Cap-Ferrat

The French police have settled down on a famous beach on the Côte d'Azur to clear an exclusive beach tent.

The eviction is a consequence of conflicts between the municipality and the private operators who operate the beach tent and the beach in front of it as a private club. The municipality considers it a public beach. The operator said angrily to the Nice-Matin newspaper that the municipality of La Paloma is now strikingly hard and eleven employees have lost their jobs at the start of the summer season.

It is assumed that the municipality eventually makes a compromise to keep the attraction for brokered customers afloat. The action came one month after 6.5 kilometers northeast of La Paloma, the municipality of Cap-d'Ail had also cleared beach tents because they benefited as exclusive clubs from the public beach.
