Police cars in Dresden burned

In the eastern German city of Dresden on the night of Saturday to Sunday, three police cars on fire.

Come Monday German President Joachim Gauck and Chancellor Angela Merkel in Dresden in order to celebrate the Day of German Unity. On October 3, 1990 held the communist German Democratic Republic (GDR) officially ceased to exist.

The unit has regained more than 25 years old but German media remember this weekend to the continued backwardness of the former GDR. For example, wages in the former West Germany around 750 euros per month higher than in the former GDR. The average gross monthly salary in the former East Germany is 2449 euro, in the rest of the country is 3218 euros.
