Police Brazil rolls up child pornography

The Brazilian police arrested 108 people suspected of involvement in the proliferation and production of child pornography on several occasions by the country.

According to the Minister of Justice, the suspects are part of a network sharing pornographic footage of children via laptops and phones. The arrests were carried out after more than half a year of investigation involving European and American authorities.

The footage was spread through the so-called dark web that is not visible to standard search engines. Among the detainees are retired agents, officials and presidents of youth football clubs.

During the investigation, agents found that the group is also responsible for producing child pornography.
