Poles and the USA are supporting Patriot deliveries

Poland and the US signed the agreement on Wednesday for the delivery of US Patriot air missiles to Warsaw.

The purchase represents an important step for Poland in the modernization of its armed forces. 'This is an exceptional, historic moment: it is the introduction of Poland into a whole new world of state-of-the-art technology, modern weapon equipment and defensive resources,' said Polish President Andrzej Duda.

Poland has accelerated the modernization of its defense following the annexation by Russia of Crimea.
