Plan B Salvini: spend even more

Italian Deputy Prime Minister Matteo Salvini said on Thursday that if necessary the government will take 'countermeasures' to prevent the economy from being damaged by a rise in interest rates on government bonds.

In an interview with the private TV channel Rete 4, Salvini was asked if the government had a plan B on hand if the controversial budget 2019, with a forecasted deficit of 2.4 percent, did not provide the intended growth. 'Then we will spend even more', was the answer of the leader of the right-wing coalition party Lega.
