Pilot Ukraine wants to talk to rebels

The freed by Russia Ukrainian helicopter pilot Nadezhda Savtsjenko has offered to negotiate with the rebels in the region of Donbass.

Savtsjenko do not want Russia to be involved in the consultations. The pilot was two years in prison in Rostov and this spring was sentenced to 22 years in prison for the murder of two Russian journalists. She herself denies that she is to blame.

Last month was Savtsjenko pardoned by Russian President Vladimir Putin. She was immediately exchanged for two Russians who were serving fourteen years in Kiev. Savtsjenko held in her native country an absolute hero status. During her captivity, she was elected to the Ukrainian parliament.
