Packets with ricin is action by ex-marineman

The packages with suspicious content intended for the Pentagon, the White House and Senator Ted Cruz's office were probably sent by an ex-navy man.

Detectives said that in one of the mail items addressed to Defense Secretary James Mattis and Admiral John Richardson, indications were found about the sender. His name has not been disclosed. Nothing has been said about his motives either.

According to spokeswoman Dana White, the packets contain poisonous seeds of the wonder tree from which ricin can be extracted. The shipments at the Pentagon were discovered after a tip from the White House. The safety measures have been tightened.
