Oskar Schindler factory is now building

The former factory of the famous resistance fighter Oskar Schindler in the current Czech Republic was officially named a national monument.

The factory became world famous by Steven Spielberg's film Schindler's List, which won seven Oscars hold.

Entrepreneur Oskar Schindler (1908-1974) set during World War II more than a thousand Jews to work in the factory and kept them as from the hands of the Germans. He thus saved them from certain death.

Oskar Schindler, moreover, has caused much controversy. He was a member of Hitler's Nazi Party and also worked as a spy.
