North Korean leader visits China

The North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has traveled to China according to the American news agency Bloomberg.

The South Korean news agency Yonhap refers to a senior representative of the North Korean regime who has gone to China. The senior official would have been driven by a special train through the Chinese border town of Dandong on Sunday. According to Yonhap, the Pyongyang government hopes that the visit will lead to better relations between China and North Korea. The South Korean news agency has no confirmation that the high-ranking North Korean is Kim Jong-un.

Since he came to power in 2011, Kim has not yet traveled abroad as far as known.
