North Korea will soon dismantle nuclear test site

North Korea will clear and dismantle the location used for short-term nuclear tests as promised.

The State Press Office said that the closure of the complex, Punggye-ri, will be accompanied by the destruction of the underground tunnel system with explosives. The accesses are blocked and all observation facilities for the nuclear tests are removed, including the research buildings and the security posts.

Journalists from other countries, including the United States and South Korea, are welcome to report on that work.
