No deal on debt relief Greece

The EU and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) did not agree on debt relief for Greece on Monday evening.

Now that the Greek parliament has agreed on a series of new, painful interventions in pensions and taxes, for example, Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras is counting on his lenders. The country needs about 7 billion euros in July for repayment of a number of loans. According to Eurogroup Chairman Jeroen Dijsselbloem, 'work is continuing' so that the country can meet its obligations in good time.

In June, the euro countries and the IMF still hope to agree on the route to Greece.
