New NASA telescope in space

Tess, NASA's new space telescope, has successfully shot into space.

Tess is an abbreviation for Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite. A Falcon 9 rocket from spacecraft SpaceX brought the telescope into space from Cape Canaveral. The launch was previously delayed due to problems with the navigation system.

The space explorer needs to map whether there is another planet somewhere in the universe where life might be possible. Tess is the sister of the American space telescope Kepler, which was launched in 2009 and is now at the end of his life.
