NATO is also sending Russians away

NATO is sending seven diplomats from the Russian delegation away.

The measures follow after the poisoning of Sergej Skripal and his daughter Joelia in Salisbury. NATO CEO Stoltenberg has taken the British conclusion that Russia is behind the attack. He spoke of a pattern in the 'reckless and confronting' behavior of the Russians in recent years.

Russia points out that there is actually no evidence. The fact that the nerve gas in question originally comes from the Soviet Union is no proof, says Russia, which put the blame on a list of countries including the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Sweden.

In response to the poisoning of Skripal, at least 25 countries, including the Netherlands, have plotted a total of 140 Russian diplomats. 'These new measures are therefore part of a large, broad-based response to a pattern of reckless behavior by Russia,' Stoltenberg said.
