National strike in Belgium on 13 February

Belgian employees are going to stop next month out of dissatisfaction with absent wage increases.

In the next two years there will be room for a maximum of 0.8 percent wage increase in addition to the inflation correction. If the employers are not willing to go over it, the unions ACV, ABVV and ACLVB will no longer be consulted.

In mid-December there was already an action day. Tens of thousands of people demanded a wage increase, a lower workload, decent career arrangements and a better balance between work and private life.
