Mysterious benefactor gives tons for sick child

A British toddler with a very rare form of leukemia can undergo specialized treatment thanks to a generous donor.

The parents of the boy want their child to be treated in the United States and tried to pick up half a million pounds. That action received a lot of attention. For example, music producer Simon Cowell contributed 50,000 pounds. Relatives and local residents also moved the portfolio.

The parents had already raised four tons when the unknown benefactor came to the aid. Mother Hannah Oliver-Willetts (33) said she received a phone call saying that she could take her bags. The caller stressed that it was not a joke. A few hours later the money was in the bank account.

Oliver-Willetts stated that physicians from a children's hospital in Philadelphia, USA, estimate her son's chances of survival at 60 to 80 percent. 'Hopefully we will return with a healed boy who has his life back', she told the BBC.
