Motive for Las Vegas carnage remains puzzling

The FBI has found no clear motive for the shooting in Las Vegas on October 1, 2017, when a sniper shot 58 people from a hotel room.

The 64-year-old shooter, Stephen Paddock, is in no way different from other shooters who were driven by a combination of things, such as mental health, stress and a desire to die by suicide, according to the FBI. The research has found no evidence for any ideological or political motives at Paddock, which also injured another 800 people.
