Motion of distrust threatens May

Conservative pro-brexit parliamentarian Jacob Rees-Mogg is going to file a no-confidence motion against Theresa May as leader of the Conservative Party.

He needs the support of 47 party members from the lower house to have such a motion put to the vote. Whether that support comes, is still unclear. There are 315 Conservatives in the House of Commons. In order to eventually deposit May as party leader, 158 members must vote in favor.
