Most expensive painting ever to Louvre Abu Dhabi

The most expensive painting in the world, the Salvator Mundi by Leonardo da Vinci, is hanging in the Louvre Abu Dhabi.

The Salvator Mundi was swapped for owner of 450 million dollars (382 million euros) at the Christie's auction house in New York in mid-November. Never before has so much been paid for a painting. It is not known who is the owner now.

According to the well-established Artnet, the Louvre in Paris is working on a major exhibition on Da Vinci in October 2019. The Salvator Mundi could be shown there as a loan to the European public. In Paris hangs all the most famous work of Da Vinci, the Mona Lisa.
