The Kurdish YPG militia is fighting with other rebel groups in the northern Syrian city, which recently was still heavily bombed by Russian warplanes. Thousands of people struck before fleeing.

Despite the ongoing violence spoke to the American and Russian Foreign Ministers on the same day their optimism on the implementation of the limited cease-fire in Syria, even if violations occur. The Russian Minister Sergey Lavrov told his counterpart John Kerry that it is important to have talk with the Syrian Kurds on the future of Syria. That, however, is highly sensitive in Turkey.
