More than 70 injured in the collapse of Jakara

The stock exchange in the Indonesian capital Jakarta was evacuated on Monday after a floor section had collapsed.

The incident happened during lunch. On social media, images of a collapsed metal structure around a Starbucks café at the entrance of the building, which has several floors, were visible. There were also images of people who fled the building. It is still unclear how many injured it is, but according to witnesses, about twelve people were carried away on stretchers.

According to a spokesman for the fair, there was no explosion. The police in Jakarta are investigating the case. The stock market would have started on the afternoon trade according to schedule.
