More than 20 tourists in Thailand injured by poisonous polyps

On a popular beach in the southernmost part of Thailand, 23 tourists with poisonous jellyfish have come into contact in recent days.

The poison of the Portuguese warship caused severe pains and, in some cases, breathlessness. The poison is deadly for small fish. A physician involved said that this season there are an exceptional number of Portuguese warships and that, for that reason, swimming on the beach at Samila is forbidden for the time being. There are no Dutch among the victims.
